After signing an agreement not to sell it or use it for other purpose than education, training and research, you can download the following material free of charge:

• All staff symbols (hospital, prehospital and administrative)

• All symbols for helicopters and ambulances

• All signs of different sizes for the scene, transport, hospitals and coordinating functions

You can also buy all this material from us printed in color, laminated and magnetized, either as single items or included in pre-designed packages. If you consider doing the work yourself, pay attention so you do not loose on doing the work: We have discount on all material (which is quite expensive) and use a standardized process for production and our prices are very close

to our own production prize.

It was the original intention that also the MACSIM patient cards should be available to download for own production of patients. However, we have a responsibility for the quality of the product and cannot take the risk that cards with MACSIM trademark are spread around with inaccurate patient-data. To make these patients requires expertise in traumatology and access to data from real scenarios, and it consumes considerable time and effort. This means that for using the MACSIM injury cards, you have to buy complete cards with data inserted from us. You can select the number you want and also type and severity of injuries.

Nothing prevents you from producing the other items yourself: Treatment- and priority symbols, tabards and arm-badges, all folders with documents needed for the exercise. However, since we already have made the investment for the programs and tools needed for the production, you are advised to compare prices with ours before making decision.

Buying complete sets (like the MACSTART-T) gives you the advantage to save considerable time by getting everything (including patients) you need delivered to you, for a much more favorable price than buying every item separately.

An expensive part in the up-start is the magnetic whiteboards. Theoretically you can use the system on ordinary tables, but using magnetic whiteboards gives a far better overview and realism. Some boards are usually already available in the facilities you use, but you need a number of movable boards on wheels. Since we do not produce them it is no economic benefit

to buy them from us. The prices vary considerably between countries. We can refer to companies having the best prices where you also get discount as user of the MACSIM system.

Another important pat is the necessary radio- and telephone communication sets but experience shows that this usually is available in facilities where the system is set up.
