This short video is from an international MRMI-course (Medical Response to Major Incidents) in the Major Incident Hospital in Utrecht, the Netherlands, April 2010 with 40 delegates from 12 different countries. The scenarios during the 2 consecutive days was terror attacks with 350 and 400 injured, respectively. The injuries were taken from real terror incidents. The simulation excercises were performed with real times and with interactive participation of all delegates in their real positions. The results were presented as the percentage of preventable deaths and complications and showed a significant improvment between the two days.
Totally has so far (August 2011) been organized 8 similar courses in 5 different countries with totally more than 450 delegates from different parts of the world. Evaluation and validation of the courses has been presented at ESTES´annual congresses.
